For the implementation of the LIFE + project in the Emmerich Ward approximately 3.1 million € were needed. This sum was distributed over the entire project period of 2012 till 2020, most of it for construction and design services.
Financing was provided by the funding program LIFE+ Nature of the EU, the state of NRW, the Kurt Lange Foundation, the HIT Environmental and Conservation Foundation, the federal association of the NABU and the promoter NABU nature conservation center Niederrhein.
