New life for the Emmericher Ward - LIFE + project for more nature in river and floodplain

Connected to the Rhine since November 2017: its new side-channel. It provides new manifold habitats in and besides the river. Additionally, a new floodplain forest has been initiated.
The project in the district of Kleve in North Rhine-Westphalia is the second major pilot project to improve the nature of the river and the floodplain in the Lower Rhine region.
